We are a Deep Hole Drill Manufacturers, the following will introduce the conditions for using deep hole drills
1) Ensure the coaxiality of the drill pipe bracket (with the drill pipe support sleeve on it), the tool guide sleeve, the headstock spindle and the drill pipe box spindle. The guide rail of the bed of the deep hole drill adopts the double rectangular guide rail suitable for the deep hole machining machine, which has large bearing capacity and good guiding accuracy; the guide rail has been quenched and has high wear resistance. Deep hole drills are used to process deep holes with an aperture ratio (D/L) of more than 1:6, such as deep holes in parts such as gun barrels, gun barrels and machine tool spindles.
2) Stepless adjustment of the feed movement speed.
3) Sufficient pressure, flow and clean cutting fluid system.
4) The deep hole drill has safety control indicating devices, such as spindle load (torque) gauge, feed speed gauge, cutting fluid pressure gauge, cutting fluid flow control gauge, filter controller and cutting fluid temperature monitoring, etc.
5) Tool guide system. Before drilling into the workpiece, the deep hole drill is guided by the tool to ensure the accurate position of the tool head (position), and the guide sleeve is close to the end face of the workpiece.
What we have introduced above is the relevant knowledge of deep hole drills. I hope the above introduction can bring you some hints and help. If you want to know more about deep hole drill bits, please pay attention to our website updates.

Indexable drills offer significant advantages over conventional twist drills. With them, machinists can drill holes at faster cutting speeds, change cutting edges faster and, with the right insert sel...
A drill is a tool that is attached to the drill chuck (the rotating part). When the drill bit is pressed into the surface, it creates a borehole by removing material in front of it. Different drill bi...
Carbide drills have largely replaced high-speed steel (HSS) drills in the industry. Before 2000, the market share of cemented carbide and high-speed steel drills was about 50-50. The market share of H...
A U-Drill is a drilling tool with carbide inserts that can be easily and inexpensively replaced, a common U-Drill looks like this. Understanding the basics of hole making tools are those cutting tools...
A deep hole is defined by its depth-to-diameter ratio (D:d), typically a hole greater than 10:1 is considered deep. Metal deep hole drilling has a wide range of applications across multiple industries...
There are three traditional deep drilling methods: gun drilling, single tube system (STS) and double tube system (DTS, also called Ejector system). Is it necessary to start with a pilot or starter hol...
